Description:

This skill gives the character the ability to call damage with Bastard Edge weapons. If a character does not have the appropriate weapon skill, then not only can they not call damage, but if the weapon they are holding is struck, they take that damage anyway.

If the character has both Weapon Skill: One-Handed Edge and Weapon Skill: Two-Handed Edge, they automatically gain Weapon Skill: Bastard Edge.

Weapon skills are NOT hand specific the way proficiencies are. And a character can use the weapon in either hand with no penalty.

The base damage for a Bastard Edge is 2 with one hand, and 3 with both hands.
